Okay Maybe Not Exactly
I don’t sit here meaning, “hey, you, turn into water!”.
What I do mean is fluidity. Be fluid.
The ability to flow with the tides that come and the tides that go. All the while, you never give up, you keep reaching further up the shoreline to your goal. To do so in a peaceful or powerful way because this is what you have. This is all you have. This life.
Water Is Magic
Water is a force that brings so much beauty, at times in such simple ways. A spray off the top of a wave, the mist in the air, or the fog sitting in the valley.
Water is also a force that brings such destruction. Nothing able to stop it. You can build a damn, but you can’t damn it up, you still need to provide an escape route. It will go over, under, or through anything it needs in order to get wherever it wants to go.
So You Have A Choice, Right?
You can choose to be the obstacle attempting to stop the water, to stop its flow, the force pounding into you, it seeps through, it finds its way in and slowly, you will lose the battle. Maybe not right away, but in time, water will win.
Or, you can choose to be the water. To never give up on where you want to go. To push forward, or quietly wait. You can slowly roll into the shore, discovering treasures hiding on the shoreline.
Or, if the time is right and something stands in your way, you build force, momentum, and come in with all your might, knowing that where you need to go in your life is the path that you will follow.
Some Days May Not Be Clear
There may be days that aren’t clear. Days where the horizon is soft and muddied. But still, you will find your day.
Maybe not on that day, maybe in the fog you need to sit, regain your strength. That’s okay ya know? You can stop and breathe. You may actually need to stop and breathe in this moment. To calm your soul and to harness your energy so when the days clear you, yes YOU, can come in with all your glory.
What do you need to stay on your path? What do you need to be the water. To choose water. To be unstoppable. To go as slow or as fast as you need, but to go.
You get one shot, there is no “life B”. So what’s it gonna be?
Is it time to embrace your time? Your moment? Your now?
If not now, when?
(I think that will be a common ending for a while. If not now. When?
